Jumping with HB
There’s nothing better than the giggle of a child to lift your spirits when you’re feeling down or stressed. There’s been so much negativity on social media lately that I thought we needed a dose of lightness. So today, I chose to post jumping pictures with HB in my arms.
He loves it when his mommy is jumping like a dork with him in her arms.
The look of happiness on his face says it all. Every time I stopped, he yelled out, More! More! What’s a mommy to do but to keep jumping?
So we jumped.
And we leaped.
We jeted one way,
and then the other way.
We’re jumping for joy that we found each other.
We even jumped for apples when we took him apple picking.
I have to admit we didn’t get any apples this way,
but we sure had a lot of fun doing it.
Where are all the Apples?
We went sailing by a field of sunflowers.
Doesn’t everyone do this when they see flowers bigger than their heads?
No?
One of my secret wishes has always been to walk on treetops like they did in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
I think I’m starting to get it. Just a few hundred more feet up in the air and HB and I can walk on trees. Lokie was most unimpressed and preferred to stare at the lake.
My little ninja loved our kung fu practice.
I call this one, Crouching Dragon Over Dachshund.
In case you haven’t figured it out by now, jumping with a toddler in your arms is very tiring (and probably not good for the joints). But I will sacrifice myself to make him happy and hear him giggle out loud. Until this mommy just can’t jump anymore.
’til next time.
