Spectacular Sunsets at Our Lake

I seem to have a new hobby.  I can’t stop taking pictures of the lake and the spectacular sunsets that happen at our lake.  If I live to be 95 years old and still living at the lake, I’ll still be taking pictures of it and marvelling at the ever-changing colors of the sky.  Unless I am 95 and living in Hawaii, where I am sure I’ll be taking even more spectacular sunsets.

I was on the phone with my mom the other day when I glanced out the window and saw the gorgeous colors lighting up the sky and lake.

I grabbed the camera and started taking pictures until I heard my mom say,

“Hello, hello, are you still there?”

Oops, forgot about her.  She asked what I was doing and I said, taking picture of the sunset.  She said, you seem to be doing that a lot lately.

Yes, I am.  How can I not?

I took this stunning sunset out of a second story window.

Without thinking, I opened the window wide and leaned out of it to get a closer shot.

On the way back in, I almost dropped the camera, and the phone out the window.  I forgot my mom was still on the other end.

“Are you listening to me?  Hello?”

Sorry mom.  Those gorgeous colors distracted me.  And maybe with my history as a klutz, I shouldn’t be leaning out of an open second story window.  I don’t need to be writing My Life as a Klutz Part II: How I Fell Out of a Second Story Window While Taking Pictures of a Sunset.

Yeah, I don’t think I’ll be leaning out of an open window again soon, especially when Jim is not home.

These next ones were taken safely from the deck.

I love how the sky always changes colors, and reflects off the lake.

And when the whole world turns pink and orange, you just have to stop whatever you’re doing and go outside and stare at it.

I love pink clouds.

Spectacular Sunsets

Once again, I’m thankful we live on this lake and can see these spectacular sunsets.  There’s no where I’d rather live.

(Well, maybe Hawaii, since it is now getting cold here.)
